Teaching Philosophy

Music expresses deep feelings that words can’t describe. Music is a language which is the most important element for our soul. It’s a really wonderful experience when we communicate with (or relate to) others through music. The more you know about music, the richer your life will be.

Piano is the king of instruments because you don’t need accompaniment as you do with other instruments. In order to enjoy a soulful life to the fullest with piano, you have to thoroughly learn the elements of music: rhythm, melody, harmony, texture, tone color, and form. Piano is not only finger work but also a thinking job which involves the brain and heart. A real piano player becomes a smart and beautiful person. 

I put all my heart into teaching in order to show my students how to express their feelings through piano, so that the piano becomes their lifelong friend. That means I am careful to teach all the elements of music, leveraging all of my education and teaching experience. I really enjoy sharing all of my knowledge and experience with my students because that enriches my life also. 

Because it’s very difficult to get rid of bad habits, l concluded I would like to use my precious time to focus on younger students and other beginners.
